It feels like we have been waiting a lifetime for the next Star Wars film to drop its trailer.
Fans cannot wait to get their eyes on some official footage of Episode IX and there have been rumours for months for when it is likely to drop.
Now it seems the most likely release date for the trailer has been revealed.
Star Wars mega-fan and YouTube user Mike Zeroh has revealed when his sources have said what the trailer is likely to compromise of – and it may surprise you.
“They are changing up the marketing style for Episode 9. (The first teaser will come) in the form of a production announcement that principal photography is completed.
“Compelling footage in the form of a ‘completion trailer’ with some footage of past films leading up to Episode 9 as a way to honour the Skywalker saga.”
The teaser trailer is expected to drop during the 2019 Super Bowl on February 3 , along with the long-awaited reveal of the title.
This will ensure that the film gets one of its biggest possible audiences for its first release of footage.
Don’t go expecting a certain classic character in the marketing material, however.
“We know no Luke Skywalker footage or promo material will be used in the first phase of the marketing.”
But it sounds like Luke will be playing a big role in the franchise, one way or another.
Star Wars: Episode IX is released on December 19.
